The guidance that decides whether the data is usable is inline, next to the fields it explains, and arrives with the role entry form. This page is the reference copy, not the primary explanation. When it is written it must agree with methodology.md on all five points where a participant's understanding is most likely to diverge: that total remuneration package includes superannuation; that salary packaging is excluded; that short-term incentive is captured as target and maximum rather than what was paid; that the effective date is a date and not a financial year; and that "other" means allowances.
